Layan Quba

Executive Chair

Layan has nearly two decades of experience guiding global organizations through complex business and technology transformation. She brings deep expertise in corporate strategy, enterprise innovation and large-scale digital change, helping guide executive teams align priorities and invest in technologies that drive impact.

Known for bridging vision and execution, Layan has partnered with C-suite leaders to drive mission-critical initiatives and foster organizational agility. Her work spanned multiple industries and markets, with a consistent focus on building resilient, future-ready enterprises in a dynamic digital landscape.

Beyond her consulting and technology career, Layan has been a dedicated mentor and advocate for youth. She has guided university students from diverse backgrounds through their personal journeys, and helped them navigate education and career choices with confidence and clarity.

Marwan Juma

Board Member

An executive and board leader with over three decades of experience, Marwan has shaped Jordan’s corporate and technology sectors, driving digital transformation, governance excellence, and economic development across public and private institutions.

He has served as Chairman and CEO of leading firms, including dot.jo, Jordan’s premier web and mobile development company, and Kinz, the country’s largest corporate data provider. From 2009 to 2011, he served as Jordan’s Minister of Information and Communications Technology, where he advanced national IT policy, attracted international investment, and strengthened Jordan’s digital economy.

Marwan is a seasoned board leader, currently holding leadership roles across banking, investment, technology, and education sectors. His expertise spans corporate strategy, financial management, and governance.

He is a recipient of Jordan’s Centennial Medal, awarded by His Majesty King Abdullah II for contributions to economic and ICT sector development.

Jean Gilson

Board Member

Jean is an influential leader in the international development sector with four decades of experience spanning global development, public policy, and banking across both developed and emerging markets.

She served as Senior Vice President of Global Strategy at DAI, where she was one of six executives driving the firm’s strategy, global branding, advocacy, innovation, strategic marketing, and expansion in corporate sustainability. She also led key initiatives in talent development, alumni network creation, product innovation, strategic partnerships, and mergers and acquisitions. Earlier, Jean spearheaded DAI’s expansion in Eastern Europe, introducing socially responsible privatization in finance and commercial services.

In 2000, Jean became USAID’s first representative in Hanoi, where she established USAID’s presence in Vietnam, laying the groundwork for what later became a full USAID mission. She later served as Senior Policy Advisor to the Millennium Challenge Account Secretariat.

Jean holds a master’s degree in international law and economics from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, an M.B.A. equivalency certificate from the First National Bank of Chicago, and a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University.
